There has been a lot of interest over the years over pheromones and their role in attraction among humans. It was once believed that humans had lost their ability to detect pheromones and be influenced by pheromones. However, a number of studies have suggested that they still play a role in how we perceive each other and a lot of pheromone perfumes and colognes have started popping up, hoping to capitalize on the buzz that has been making pheromones quite popular.
An Introduction to Pheromones
But what are pheromones exactly? According to Adriana Sassoon of AdrianaSassoon.me:
“[A pheromone] is a chemical signal that triggers a natural response in another member of the same species. There are alarm pheromones, food trail pheromones, sex pheromones, and many others that affect behavior or physiology. Their use among insects has been particularly well documented. In addition, some vertebrates and plants communicate by using pheromones.”
Naturally, we are more interested in sex pheromones and there are a number of pheromone perfumes and colognes that are already available on the market capitalizing on demand. In truth, some claims as to their effects are exaggerated, but there is some basis for their potential in making a person more attractive to to the other gender. So if you want to attract men, you can use these perfumes and colognes to augment your game, so to speak.
Debunking Some Myths
However, it’s important to clear up a few myths first. For example, wearing a pheromone perfume will not make you stand out from the crowd. Sex pheromones among humans can typically only be detected from a distance of just 18 inches. So if you are in a bar, until you are able to get that close, you will be competing with just about every other woman there for a man’s attention. Also, any pheromone fragrance will not do. Fresh pheromones are ideal, so if the pheromone fragrance you are using doesn’t preserve the pheromones well enough, men might even perceive the fragrance as unpleasant.
So now that all that has been cleared up, how can you attract men using pheromones? First of all, you’ll want to find a reputable seller that sells fresh pheromone perfumes and colognes. If you can’t narrow down your choices to just one, try out two or three of the ones you are most interested in so you can give them a trial run. Once you’ve found one with a scent that is long-lasting and pleasant enough, you can start using them to attract men.
Before you go out though, make sure you put in the effort to look attractive. Christa Titus says:
“Back up the pheromones by looking your best. Invest time in learning how to chat with strangers and being a good flirt (see Resources). Remember that the pheromones are only an aid. It doesn’t do any good to get the attention of every man in the room if you can’t carry on a conversation or don’t put any effort into your appearance.”
Keep in mind that pheromones can’t be detected until you are within a distance of 18 inches, so you’re going to have to use body language and any other tricks up your sleeve to close that gap. You can signal your interest by making eye contact or be aggressive and make your way to him. It’s up to you.
Once you are within the ideal distance where he can detect your perfume, he should start becoming more receptive to anything you do. He won’t be consciously aware of this, which is a good thing, but don’t expect the pheromones to do all the work for you.
