It seems to happen overnight. Your gut sags, your hair recedes, and those irritating crow’s feet start to deepen. So what’s a guy to do to stay young? Before you start thinking about surgery, let’s take a look at the best (and least expensive) ways to look younger.

1.     Eat the Right Diet
The best way for a guy to look younger is to start on the inside. This means putting down the Big Mac and picking up a salad. Seriously, a diet filled with processed foods, convenience meals, and microwavable food not only pack on the pounds but add years to your looks as well. Save the colorful, cheese-filled foods as once-in-the-while treat and add more whole foods like organic meat, wild-caught fish, veggies, fruit, and whole grains. Not only will you look better, you’ll feel better too!
2.     Exercise
Another great way for men to take years off without going under the knife is to get plenty of exercise. Whether you like swimming, jogging, cycling, or hiking, get up, get out, and get active. It’s the only way to maintain muscle tone and your good looks.
3.     Drink More Water
If you’re a soda man, what you’re drinking could be adding years to your life. Additives and preservatives such as high fructose corn syrup and food dyes dry out your skin and add some serious inches to your gut. Healthy men should drink 6-8 glasses of water throughout the day.
4.     Take Care of Your Teeth
Your teeth can reveal a lot about your age. To take years off, you need to take care of your teeth. Get regular dental check-ups and be sure to floss and brush at home. To whiten your teeth, you don’t need expensive whitening trays. Just mix some baking soda and peroxide together and brush regularly.

5.     Cut Back on the Drinking
There’s nothing wrong with enjoying a couple of drinks every once in the while but men who drink regularly tend to age faster than men who do not. Expect to see more wrinkles, loss of skin elasticity, dryness, redness, and puffiness. Slow down on the alcoholic beverages and you’ll take years off the look of your skin.
6.     Wear it Right
If you’re trying to look younger, you may tempted to dress younger but this can backfire. Instead, dress age-appropriate in well-fitting clothes that flatter your physique. 7.     Invest in Good Grooming
If you’re losing hair, don’t try to hide it with a comb-over or ever-present baseball cap. Instead, invest in good grooming. Either shave your head completely or try to regrow it. Meanwhile, focus on your facial hair. If you wear a beard or moustache, trim it regularly. Got a few grey hairs? There are plenty of natural ways for men to dye their hair without resorting to chemicals.
8.     Learn to Exfoliate
When you hear the word “exfoliate” you probably picture spa baths or cucumbers over your eyes. Exfoliation is just a fancy word for scrubbing the gunk off your face and cleaning out your pores. Using just a teaspoon of baking soda and your hands, rub the mixture in a circular motion over your skin and rinse. Follow with a cold water splash to tighten your pores.
9.     Moisturize
To minimize the look of fine lines and wrinkles and give your skin a healthy glow, invest in a good jar of organic coconut oil. The stuff is amazing and a little goes a long way. Just a quarter-sized dab will cover your whole face and keep it looking fresh and youthful. While you’re at it, why not use it on your whole body? Coconut oil is a healing alternative to chemical-laced commercial lotions.
10.    Meditate
If you’re wondering if you have to get into a pretzel position and chant for hours a day, you don’t. Meditation can be something as simple as sitting in a quiet room for ten to twenty minutes and just focusing on your breathing. Stress can do a lot of damage to a man’s looks so if you want to look younger, make it a point to relax regularly.
If women just aren’t looking at you the same way anymore, you may think you’ve gotten old. The truth is, age is just a number and you’re only as old as you feel. Nourish and exercise your body, relax your mind, and treat your body like a temple. It’s the best way to take years off and look younger without the side effects of those more drastic measures!
